Dead Body

Learned something new yesterday.  We were traveling to Harbel and there was a dead body on the side of the road (not the first one I've seen).  The forensic van was parked next to the body with a crowd standing around.  What surprised me was 3 hours later as we were traveling back the body was still there and the forensics were gone.  We had a native with us who explained that when a body is found the body is left where found for 3 days for relatives or someone to claim and take away.  If the body is not claimed the government will then take the body away.  We assumed the forensics were performing some type of embalming to preserve the body in the 3 days of tropical heat.  It's not always possible to id a body, find next of kin and address here.
