FRESH Fish Dinner

Elder Miles and Elder Berrett went to the corner market (on a corner by a gas station off a table full of the "catch of the day") to see if they could find a barracuda.  They did, it was between 4-5 feet in length!  They brought it home and cleaned it and divided it among the 4 couples.  We had fresh fish taco's for dinner and the rest in the freezer for later. YUMMMMM   I am just glad I didn't have to do the cleaning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving day we all did our normal routine in the morning of taking things to missionaries and doing emails, just handling "business as usual."  At noon all the "couples" met at the Royal Grand Hotel for their lunch buffet.  It was "Italian Day."  It didn't  matter that there was no turkey, dressing, gravy etc etc.  I think it was the first time for me here in Liberia that I felt like I had eaten too much.  Afterwards we all went back to the Mission Home for games and dessert. Each couple was to bring a dessert but I think we all brought 2!  So, we all overate again.  It was no different than if we were at home!  We were with dear friends and we shared a lovely (very warm) afternoon.

We hope that all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you shared it with family and friends, old and new and that you remembered all the blessings that we all so enjoy every day!!!!!

Our "Bea" Thanksgiving

Our dear friend Bea sent us a Thanksgiving package which we received 2 weeks before the holiday.  We set it on our couch and watched it, shook it (nothing rattled), and tried to guess what was in it for those 2 weeks.  On Thanksgiving morning it was like Christmas!  Everything was perfect and now we are anticipating the consumption of all the goodies.  Not sure we are going to share - well maybe a little.

For Calum

I saw this billboard and thought of Calum - the thought of "Chile in a glass" was intriguing to me.

This is a supposed to be a street! Under every umbrella is someone selling something!

Moving Day

It's moving day but don't forget the Christmas tree!!!

Liberian's Mimic American Life

It is so weird to see this hot dog van roaming around town!
