Koening Homestead

Samuel and Kuku Koening are our good friends from Harbel Branch.  We went to their "homestead" today to see the progress on the home.  They paid someone to do the brick work but they did a poor job and the walls fell down.  They are starting over.  They hope to be in by April.

As soon as you purchase property you get "corner markers" and put them on the property to let others know that the land is sold. It is also "advisable" to start putting some kind of structure on the land as soon as possible.  If you don't the land could be sold again to someone else and you have a hard time proving your claim.

The Homestead

The bridge to the homestead.  Typical "African bridge," bamboo and logs. A little scary!
