New Flatmate

In our flat we have a TV that gets 9 stations.  There are usually 3-4 soccer games and at least 2 TV Evangelists on at any one time.  We see soccer being played everywhere.  In the streets, on the beach and the best place is in a bombed out building they are removing.  The exterior walls are still standing but they have gutted the building down to the footings so there is a 4 foot high pit surrounded by these tall walls.  When the workers leave for the day the kids take over.  It is the perfect football pitch because the dirt walls are high enough to contain the ball.  They use cans and rocks stacked on top of each other to mark their goals.

We went to church in Caldwell New Georgia today.  It was a 45 minute drive over paved and dirt roads.  The dirt roads really make you appreciate the paved ones!!  When church began there were about 15 of us by the time sacrament meeting was over the chapel was full.

Elder Hezseltine has informed me that we have a new flatmate.  I have been told by several people that they are good to have as they eat all the bugs.  I have not met our resident Gecko and hope that I don't!
